How can we turn a situation round in any moment? In 10 seconds we can shut out the stress and choose to let it go and not be of it. We can release our tension and let the breath carry it away. The breath is a powerful tool in yoga and brings in the powerful life force. Do you breathe shallowly and quickly grasping for air but never fully oxygenating your body or hold your breath and not take in enough that way. How often do you bring in long slow relaxed breaths. Do you ever fill your lungs to capacity and let them empty fully before you draw another breath?
When I focus on what my body is doing I usually notice that i'm holding my breath and my thoughts and feelings hang heavy with it. When i'm trying to get somewhere on time and a car cuts me off in traffic or an argument starts near me I hold my breath in and tense up. In the moment I realise that i'm holding my breath and let go letting my breath flow I choose not to be a part of that outside influence and come back into myself knowing I don't need to react and don't need to be bothered by other things. I am me and not the sum of my environment. I close my eyes if I can and take a deep breath down into my chest then abdomen and then release waiting till I feel empty again before I draw another slow breath. I focus inward making my out breaths the same length as my in breaths. With my breath I take in life and energy and with the flow I release what I don't need and any thoughts or emotions that aren't mine or aren't serving me.
Take a moment notice your breath without changing it. What does it tell you about how you are? Are you stressed or busy with outside thoughts maybe your not in the moment or trully in yourself. Feel yourself and draw in that breath feeling it travel all the way to your navel. Breath out fully let the breath flow until it won't flow any longer then try drawing in a longer breath. Three breaths is usually enough to completely change your mental and physical state. Relax close your eyes breathe and let your body go heavy slowly working your way from the tips of your toes to all the different parts of your head inside and out. Spend ten minutes like this and wake yourself up, how different do you feel? Imagine if you did this every night before bed letting go of everything that happened that day good or bad. Letting your breath carry away everything preparing you for sleep.
Allow your breath to soothe your emotions next time someone challenges you to a screaming match or picks a fight take a breath and act without reacting. Allow your breath to take away the tension in your shoulders or your headache breathe into your muscles take the breath to the pain and tension and draw it out seeing the pain go with the breath. Allow your breath to give you strength draw in the strength you need and know that you can do what you need to do. Let your breath draw your attention inwards blocking out external distractions, clear your mind to help you receive an answer or make a decision. In a moment you can change your situation and choose how you want to react. That is the power of the breath.

A more useful diagnosis
So you've had alot of tests seen alot of drs and nothing has shed any light on the situation all you have to show is an unexplainable long list of confusing symptoms and the long name of a syndrome that's not understood and basically says that you have a certain amount of a set of symptoms and nothing else. You feel great because you have a thing you now have a diagnosis to say you have a thing but nobody knows what to do about it, there's no cure, no useful pill or treatment plan just the advice to self educate listen to your body and be easy on yourself. Not easy to deal with!! Where does this leave you, googling for hours? buying dozens of books that support products or pills or other things that will cost you money that probably are being sold by the author. What if there was a better answer one that made your situation more understandable that gave you ways to care for yourself and find sanity?
A diagnosis that your dr would be unlikely to give would be HSP or Highly Sensitive Person. However this is not a psychological all in your head emotional wreck term. It's a term that describes people who are more open and receptive to stimuli than others. Basically it means you are more aware and experience your senses more acutely. So heightened hearing sensitivity to light or smells it also includes awareness and increased emotional stimulation. It means bombardment of your nervous system by tons of information that's overwhelming and stressing on your body. Means your more likely to have reactions to chemicals, drugs and allergies to foods and cleaning products. You could have sleep difficulty, headaches, digestion issues, pain, anxiety, depression, agoraphobia, symptoms produced in particularly cold or hot weather or other things that seem random. But it means that life is more difficult stressful and overwhelming for you because of the way your body processes information. Understanding what this means for you can make life easier because you can learn to use this is a skill set a gift instead of a curse and it can be better controlled when you know what it is.
In other circles it's also referred to as empathy or maybe it's just similar. But that is also a condition of extreme sensitivity where you experience peoples thoughts, emotions and sometimes physical condition as your own. It is NOT feeling sorry for your neighbour because her cat died and you had a cat that died so you know what it's like. It would be grieving over your loss and experiencing that loss and depression not knowing why you felt that way. Empathy and HSP both manifest in the same way. Walking into a busy shopping centre becoming stressed and overwhelmed in the crowd and bustle leaving feeling drained, depressed and completely exhausted. Empathy can manifest as illness as headaches or digestion issues and be very draining and stressful for a person who does not understand what is happening. Both need to be learned about and understood so a person can learn to use them as skill sets rather then have these sensitivities use them. They are diagnosis's that are helpful and give a person a course of action aswell as understanding what is causing a mass of confusing unrelated symptoms.

The fuss about yoga
So you hear constantly that yoga is great for you and everyone seems to recommend it and maybe you know people who have taken it up and turned their lives around. But no one has told you why it works or what it does. Is yoga more than stretching and a bit of relaxation? Definately but how does it work. Yoga in its full eastern form involves a few of integral components that are often left out of westernized and gym taught yoga. These are Postures, pranayama, mudras, mantras, bandhas and kriyas and together bring balance and health to the physical body, mental body, emotional body and spiritual body.
Postures- yoga uses poses and moves through sets of postures to build strength and exercise the body. They massage internal organs and glands and help the body balance, build muscle, gain flexibility and eliminate toxins. The added benefits are that the exercise is not painful and won't exhaust you but infact is usually relaxing or restorative. The muscles don't produce lactic acid and are oxygenated during the practice and one builds strength and flexibility at the same time. For people who don't exercise because of pain yoga is gentle but can be made more difficult by adjusting the postures often using props to make it easier. Yoga postures open up the energy pathways to remove blockages and pain in a similar way to accupuncture and accupressure. Inversions are postures where the body gets tipped upside down which aids circulation, oxygen flow and rapidly and effectively detoxs. While twists work often unused muscles and massage organs aiding digestion function. The practice of the postures teaches one muscle recognition and awareness of tension so that one can relax tight muscles outside their practice off their mat in the day to day life illiminating many sources of pain and fatigue.
Pranayama- This translates to energy control which means bringing in life force through the breath. This is a conscious breathing practice that is incredibly powerful sometimes practiced as part of a kriya or posture. Different types of breathing encourage heightening of energy, relaxation, a flush of oxygen to the blood, enhances cellular processes and regeneration, improves and changes mood, increases awareness and focus and balances the sides of the brain and its functioning. This also aids in detoxification and assisting the body in all its functions. The breath practice teaches the body to breath deeper so that you will start to bring in more oxygen without even thinking about it off the mat.
Mudras- These are seals and are used to aid and improve energy flow around the body to improve vitality. Remember the wise old baboon from the lion king? Hing sitting cross legged with his hands resting on his knees this is an example of a meditation with his hands in gyana mudra and is used to alter the breath to abdominal breathing.
Mantras- These are sounds that are chanted to bring about transformation. The sounds contain meaning and are chanted and repeated in meditation to bring about beneficial changes. Om the most well known mantra represents union of mind, body and spirit.
Bandhas- Body locks contain and restrict the flow of energy controlling how the energy is directed and used. It can stop energy from being lost and helps balance the nervous and endocrine systems. It is also a means to stimulate kundalini energy.
Kriyas- Are sets and practices combining any of the other elements in order to detox and cleanse. The cleanse isn't always physical but can be emotional and mental aswell. The practice is extremely good for balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system and restoring harmony in ones life. It can release emotions and pain and bring a huge and quick change in a persons life especially if practiced regularly.
So yoga assists in a healthy body and develops fantastic focus and improved brain function while releasing and working through emotions and traumas. It's a meditative discipline that develops and purifies all aspects of a person while bringing in vitality, developing and balancing the chakras in turn strengthening the aura and ones spiritual body. Yoga really does improve all aspects of life if taken seriously in a devoted way.

Energy loss
Feeling so incredibly exhausted lately and completely spent at times unable to keep myself awake, sleeping for extended periods or broken sleep at odd hours it seems incredibly important to discuss why this happens and the ways we lose energy. I'm not talking about being tired after a day of work or being completely exhausted after manual labour or a big stressful task. I'm talking about barely being able to function as a human being. Being too tired to eat or even sit up. Standing up and knowing that you need to lay back down immediately. Falling asleep after half an hour of tv you were watching while eating breakfast.
There are many reasons we lose energy mainly because we give it away. Perhaps we don't look after ourselves. The physical reasons maybe be not eating well. If we don't supply our bodies with proper nutrients it struggles to function well and our body will use energy digesting food that gives us little or only a short burst of energy. Or eating foods full of artificial colours, flavours, chemicals and hormones loading our bodies with substances it has to stress itself to break down often poisoning our system. Or perhaps we eat overcooked food that's lost its nutritional content.
Avoiding the sun can be harmful it can disrupt our sleep wake cycles and deplete our body of vitamin D. Simply opening our blinds and seeing the morning light and spending 15 minutes in the sun every few days is often enough to raise our spirits and boost our energy.
Not connecting to the earth can cause inflammation, pain and excess body electricity. Walking barefoot on the earth counteracts this passing the electrical currents in our body down through the earth like lightning and the circuitry in our houses and buildings. Not moving around enough stopping your body from getting adequate oxygen and blood flow.
Not getting enough water leaving us dehydrated or getting bad quality water. Most of us don't get thirsty enough so don't drink the amount of water we need. Water from the tap is full of impurities, does not taste that good and is not properly bio-available. Spring water and mineral water taste alot sweeter and contain more calcium, magnesium and often much larger quantities of vital nutrients than tap water. Also crystals can be used to return the molecular structure of the water back to a more original form and destroys toxic substances and chemicals the water obtains from pipes. Many people will put crystals in a glass and sit the glass in a jug of water outside in the sun for a few hours to allow the crystals to transfer energy into the water molecules and change the structure and quality of the water. This has been scientifically proven. It's not reccomended that the crystals go directly into the drinking water as some are dissolvable and can contain harmful substances. People also make gem elixirs to use in a similar way.
Some people can be sensitive to the earths electromagnetic field and different parts of the planet are stronger or weaker and can effect health and energy levels. People can also respond to electrical pollution and sleeping in rooms with technology such as mobile phones, computers and other devices.
But you probably know most of those some things that you might not know is that you give energy to people. If you have any depressed friends or friends that always seem to need help your feeding them your energy by feeling sorry for them and sympathizing. People often will create drama and fights because they can get your energy this way even if they don't realise what they are doing. It's called vampirism and there's no blood involved but some people do know what they are doing and take great pride in it and become extremely skilled at draining people.
There's spiritual reasons people can have a lack of energy people can be more open and thus pick up other peoples energy, issues, poor health. A person who is more open might lucid dream giving them unrestful sleep or astral travel leaving their body often without realizing or remembering and their body using up energy transporting them and trying to integrate back in afterwards this can also be noticed from sleep paralysis waking up not being able to move or the feeling of falling before waking. Entities being any energy form can feed off our energies some knowingly some not. Chakra imbalances can drain us when our energy isn't able to flow properly and stagnates. Or awakenings which can be spontaneous or brought on by engaging in magical practices, yoga, meditation or psychic work. Awakenings can be intense periods of extreme change, rapid assimilation of energy and realizing but also sorting through behavior patterns and bringing up memories, emotions and traumas to work through and can really wreak havoc on the body like an insanely strong drug detox.
The best way to deal with psychic or spiritual type drains is to learn about the energy bodies and aura. Learn to feel and move your energy and to contain it and shield yourself. When you learn to feel and notice your energy you can diagnose the blockages and leaks and realise where your energy is going who's taking it who you're donating it to and what things you expend energy on that aren't beneficial. There is more than enough energy for everyone so we should be more conscious of where we get ours from and where it goes.

Why it hurts
Chronic pain patients hear time and time again that their body has malfunctioned often than not they had an injury or illness and their body repaired and healed but the pain remained. Or they have unexplainable pain that's persisted for months or years and does not seem to want to go or goes for a short while then comes back.
To understand this we have to understand what pain is. Pain is a response from your body telling you that something is wrong. The pain is not necessarily where the problem is and you can hurt for non physical reasons. Do I believe that the body can malfunction in a way to produce pain for no reason? No. I believe the body does whatever it needs to in order to communicate something with you. You can take a headache pill and maybe the headache goes and you don't need another but then it comes back maybe in a different way or different place maybe it's a slightly different symptom. But it does come back unless you address it. Sometimes it's not enough to see a dr to have bloods or scans done sometimes the body won't tell you why your hurting just that your doing something wrong and that you need to stop and pay attention.
The body can manifest emotions as pain, a job that's not serving you, relationships that are not beneficial, denying the you in you and basically not living your lifes path. Pain is your friend it helps you know when your in danger, when you need to change your course. So take time reflect think of your lifes direction what were you doing thinking or feeling when the pain started. Or what weren't you doing that you should of been. Maybe you put off time to yourself and have been running around looking after others neglecting yourself. Or maybe you've decided that your not jealous or affected by other people that you don't have problems and that other people are the problem. Take a moment and think about what your doing, are you causing your pain? Is there something you can do that would be good for you that might get to the root of the problem because if you don't solve the puzzle your body will keep serving you by making you hurt. I'm not saying it's your fault maybe it's not something that you did maybe it's just something you need to do. Something that will pull your life in the right direction. Maybe you are doing a good job working for good people but it's not what your passionate about and it's not what your meant to do. Maybe your job brings in the money but leaves you feeling empty.
Diagnosing the chakras and their imbalances can really help you nut out what the issues you are facing are and where imbalances are whether they be physical, emotional or spiritual. Meditate and get to know yourself so you will be able to listen to what you already know and realise your own wisdom. A shaman can help heal you in more ways than medical they can retrieve parts of your soul that have left you through shock or extreme pain and trauma and help you become more whole and complete. They can also help you receive wisdom and understand what's going wrong in your life. They can help you begin to change what needs changing and give you the strength you need to heal more fully and not just medicate and ignore what your body needs you to know. Even if you don't want to see someone you can learn to do some of these things for yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help and know that there is always someone to help when you need it. Sometimes it may not be a physical person. Maybe it's an animal or a spirit guardian or teacher. Sometimes the help will come in a way you don't like. healing can often bring up alot of pain and difficulty sometimes your teachers might seem cold or cruel but they are there to help and a lesson can be learned from everyone.
If you look at pain as being unexplainable or there because of a malfunction you might never be without it. Shamanism looks at illness and pain as the effect of an unhealthy energy body, which can be caused by spirits, negetivity, not taking care of your body, not being true to yourself, not living your lifes goal and picking up on messages from spirits and the earth trying to communicate. Some people can be sensitive to the earths changing electromagnetism or the electrical output of common technology around the home.
So if you want to be well and happy dig deep uncover and unbottle your repressions speak your truth and communicate deeply with people. Do what makes you happy and don't live in avoidance if something does not serve you find a way to change it or eliminate it. Ask and you will receive.

Getting it done
How do you spend your time do you finish things that you need to complete or spend time dong what you want and enjoy doing? If not why? If you don't enjoy how you spend your time and don't do things that you actually want to do then what are you doing and what are you living for? Fatigue and chronic illness can destroy motivation but if you aren't getting any enjoyment your also destroying your motivation and money is not enjoyment.
My answer for you lists. I know I feel like I have a weight of a million things to do and a million things I want to do but never can think of what they are especially when my favourite tv shows come on or i've been up a few hours and feel the need for a snooze. What's sad is things don't get done I stay tired, I watch bad tv and I don't enjoy doing it. I've been through stages of motivation where I've ignored tv and done my own thing and it made me much happier.
So what i'm going to do is make a list of all the things that really need doing and all the things I want to do and buy. That way I download all these thoughts weight and worry and don't need to think about them. Also I can see what needs doing and remind myself what makes me happy and how much money I need and what I need to do to make things happen. So much benefit to wellbeing just by making the lists alone. More from actually using them. You may not have time for much or might need to rest when yo get home from work and that's fine but maybe there are things on your list that can be done while watching tv or in the bath or maybe you could watch your favourite tv in the bath, two birds with one stone. Pay internet bills or check email in commercials, learn how to knit or make something while listening to music or watching tv or exercise while doing those things if that's something you want or need. As you tick off needs you will have a sense of achievement and lightening a great reduction in pressure and stress and by checking your list daily you should make time to do something that makes you happy maybe it's read or paint or sing, maybe take up a class or new hobby. Not everything requires money, take time to reflect and appreciate nature bushwalking or gardening or have a bubble bath.
By writing down what you need it will be easier to see what you need to do to achieve them. Perhaps make smaller goals or steps to increase them or plan to put aside so much money each week for that important or wanted purchase.
Take responsibility for your wellbeing by doing things you enjoy your're increasing your motivation ad drive and crossing things off your list and your mind body and spirit will all thank you for unburdoning it. Keep a blackboard or whiteboard list or a notebook in your bag so you can carry your list with you so you don't need to remember it. Or put it in your phone. Enjoy your life in everyway you can. Don't aim to do alot, just aim to do and it will get done.

Energy clearing - for a super thorough clean
This place feels wrong. Bad vibes, cold spots, hauntings, negative attachments and emotional imprints can often be cleared fairly easily and will lift the heaviness in a home brightening the mood of all those around them. A few simple techniques can improve the quality of a place and lift any heaviness.
Places can make you sick and change your mood when negative energy builds up. Strong emotions, arguments, violence or negativity in general can pollute a space and the energy will hang around. So while you may dust, vacuum and wash it does not mean your home is clean. Not in a long shot. So after you have a really good spring clean and tidy, cleaning everything thoroughly and throwing out junk it can be very useful to do a cleansing.
This can be done in a multitude of ways through
Smudging- Burning of plants such as many types of sage or sweet grass or other ceremonial herbs
Sound- Chiming of bells and ringing gongs and vibrational sound bowls will shift energy. Tibetan bells, bowls and crystal bowls are often used.
Salt- Sea salt or rock salt will absorb negative energy so that you may remove it. Bathing in it can be great for your body as well and make you feel refreshed and revived.
To smudge its best to have a heatproof bowl so that you don't burn yourself and light the plant until it smokes then blow it out. Then fan it over and around yourself to cleanse yourself first. Then proceed fanning the smoke around the room getting in all the corners and around windows and doors moving in one direction towards an open window or door having all the others shut and fanning the smoke with intention to remove all negative energy and send it out the open door.
Sound should be employed in the same way moving directionally towards the door spreading the vibrations around the whole room. Always use intention believing and seeing that you are moving the energy out see it in your mind visualize it clearing away.
Salt will be used differently it will absorb negativity rather than shift it so you can make a mixture of water and sea or rock salt only one large spoonful is needed in the water and use it to clean with or spray when cleaning. The water can be used to line windows and doorways as a barrier to keep negativity out. Alternatively before you vacuum or if you have light carpet sprinkle the salt on the floor and leave it sit a few hours or a day and then vacuum it up. You can also employ a glass or metal bowl to use to continually absorb negativity if you fill it with the salt water and leave it in a room. Always dispose of this water do not give to pets people or plants tip it down the drain or take it outside or away from the house.
If you are around depressed angry or negative people a salt bath is extremely useful for removing energetic scum these encounters have left behind ad other peoples energy. You'll feel much better in your mind and body and so much lighter after taking care of yourself like this.
You should continue to clear the space like this and can also use oils and incense as well to maintain it. You will start to feel the difference and quickly know when it needs to be redone. Everyone should feel at home in their house it is their space their environment, safe and warm if we can't feel at peace and tranquil in our home then something is seriously wrong but well within your power to change.

Stuck in a rut
If you feel stuck and in a rut. A bit depressed and are taking long amounts of time to make decisions i've found one of the best remedies is to clean. Have a really good tidy up, chuck out and clean. I really believe that our home environment reflects our internal environment and if we are living in a mess we feel full and heavy and our energy can't flow well. It creates stress and is really bad feng shui.
Try it today get rid of what you don't need anymore you will be getting rid of mess and old thinking patterns and emotions. Objects can hold energy and sometimes getting rid of some key items can really help you spring clean yourself and feel like a new person, ready for change and big decisions. Gifts people gave you that you don't use, old clothes you don't wear or ornaments that don't match your style anymore all taking up room in your house and mind.
When I sort and find good homes for things I really feel like i'm organizing my mind and alot of thoughts jump to the surface to be accepted and discarded. Like dusting the cobwebs out of my mind. Alot of emotions will pop up that I can now throw away with my other junk and new thinking patterns emerge. As you put things away in a permanent home your brains mapping where they now live and clearing up energy that you were using to remember where you last saw or put something.
Grab out the cloth and duster get working I find using essential oils great the more dirt I get up the healthier and happier I feel cleaning the house really helps you clean out all the stagnant energy you were holding onto. When your done you'll feel alot lighter and more energized.

Things that go bump in the night
More and more people these days are having strange encounters with things they can't explain. Names have been thrown around like ghost, spirit, angel, demon, daemon and entity. There are many different kinds of these things and I'll share a few of the beliefs about them and how they can affect you.
The most common sort of entity is just like a ball of energetic fluff, some leftovers from a traumatic event, a death or a really strong emotion. Entities are mostly I believe created by people. So many of our beliefs and behaviours, strong desires we deny and call our shadow self. If repressed for too long can build up become strong enough and break away into a separate self. This energy can now look for similar energy to its own and feed off other people struggling with the same things to become strong enough to form an entity. Devil on your shoulder or have you allowed an entity to surround you with its lowering vibrations, moods and possibly addictions and illness? Negative entities can be extremely draining and will feed on your energy body this can leave a person stressed, anxious, extremely fatigued or suffering from physical symptoms. People can also hurt each other by wishing them ill and sending negative energy from themselves to them.
But then there are other things. Things that don't come from people. Other life forms most of them just non ordinary fauna sometimes they will feed off human energy but most of the time they won't even notice we are here or they won't care. Then there are more intelligent entities that can cause us big problems. They can manipulate us or scare us to produce more energy to feed on. Will visit at night and know our fears and can change their form and appearance. Some even present themselves as angels to win our trust and drain us that way. They can give us bad dreams and very rarely physically attack us but most people don't encounter those sorts. There are also entities that would wish to look after us and protect us from such things, teachers who seek to show us things even though sometimes they do this through fear.
In the end its just good practice to know yourself, meditate and learn when thoughts are not your own so you can control your actions and not be manipulated. After all it's mostly people we have to worry about. So love each other and protect yourself from negativity in general because it is toxic and will make us sick. If you do think you have entities then consult a shaman they can tell you and usually remove them for you.

Better sleep
If your suffering a chronic pain condition then you know it can wreak havoc with your sleep. There's a great product I use called a cuddle ewe which is a mattress topper that's completely wool. It's thick it's fluffy and it's like sleeping on a cloud. Especially designed for fibromyalgia and arthritis it greatly reduces morning stiffness by supporting the body during sleep and distributing body weight evenly taking pressure off limbs and joints. The wool will also wick away sweat and help the sleeper maintain a better body temperature.
Quick pain relief anywhere
Here's a quick method to deal with tricky pain. Close your eyes the first few times you try this to make it easier. Take in 3 long deep breaths exhaling slowly and deeply for the same amount of time that you inhaled. Relax and let your focus settle into the center of your head between your ears. Imagine a cord coming from your body travelling down into the earth. Allow the earths energy to come up the cord to feed and circulate your body.
Now focus your attention on your body how it feels and looks. Do this using your third eye, the space between your eyes above your nose. Now focus on the area that has pain. What do you sense, feel or see in your mind? That's your pain you will want to send whatever you perceive down that cord back to earth. Alternatively you can conjure up any tool of removal in your mind that you'd like perhaps see a vacuum cleaner and have it suck out the energy of the pain. Or whatever you feel comfortable with. Notice any senses you get while doing this. Do any images or memories come up or perhaps emotions? Set them free they are no longer serving you and send them off as well. You can't erase a memory like this so don't worry but you can get it off your mind. After you do this to make it final unattach from the cord and use a new one to flow through and circulate more earth energy. If you used an image you can either attach a cord to it or imagine setting it on fire and watching it be destroyed. After you've received more fresh energy from the earth notice how you feel. Any lighter or calmer perhaps more focused and if you were able to fully focus and believe what you were doing then your pain should be gone.

Fibromyalgia
What actually is it?
An over activation of the sympathetic nervous system.
What on earth does that mean?
It means your locked in fight or flight mode and your nervous system is so busy running the stress response and trying to keep you alive that it puts important functions like digestion, blood sugar regulation and any rest or restorative functions on the back burner. It means the brain is constantly firing off and can't reach a deep sleep state and stay in it for very long, muscles are tensed up forming tight extremely sensitive knots called trigger points and the organ function becomes slow and sluggish. Toxins build up the immune system stops functioning correctly and many flu like symptoms develop. Chronic fatigue, aches and stiffness all over, poor memory, confusion, stress, over production of cortisol, reduced ability to digest, sinus blockages and pain, migraines, dizziness, nausea, muscle cramping, sensations of burning stabbing pinching biting pricking crawling aching throbbing all over body, reduced pain threshold, non painful stimuli becoming unbearable such as flashing lights high pitched sounds or a strong hug and many other symptoms.
Worst thing about the pain
It's not static it does not stay on the same level while ever there is pain it will keep getting worse. The only way to make the pain bearable is to find ways to be pain free for short amounts of time so that it does not get out of control and destroy you mentally emotionally and physically. The pain will stop you from sleeping and the electrical signals in the trigger points will fire and interfere with sleeping brain waves if you do manage to sleep stopping you from getting restful sleep. The trigger points multiply over time and hurt where the point is but also produce surrounding tenderness and sharp referred pain. A trigger point in the shoulder can be the cause of an intense migraine, a trigger point in the back can produce pain and tightness in the chest. It's all so complicated. A trained massage therapist can treat the trigger points but that's incredibly painful and they are equally likely to activate them as they are to deactivate them. But some people respond well to trigger point treatment. It's important to note that trigger points push on nerves and organs so can cause a great deal of other symptoms in any location of the body so if you can find a way to deactivate them and stretch the muscle returning it to its proper length and function you can greatly reduce symptoms and improve sleep.
What causes it?
Drs seem to think it has a variety of causes sudden shock or stress, viral or bacterial illness, immune dysfunction, busy life style over exhaustion, adrenal fatigue, hormone imbalance, whiplash injuries and the list goes on knowing that does not really help though its hard to prove what caused it and alot of the suspected causes can be symptoms so how does one know if it was the chicken or the egg. A symptom or a cause. Tests are being developed now to find blood markers for the condition yes that can prove you likely do have it but does it help you get rid of it no.
I'd like to present to you my own theory of what causes it in some possibly all cases but here's some food for thought. An unnatural stress response to a bodies increased awareness of an energetic world. Everyone keeps saying its happening now's the time there's a big new age movement more people becoming interested in spirituality, energetic healing and psychic topics. More people are having non ordinary experiences with spirits and increased awareness. I think fibromyalgia could be the bodies stress response when faced with stimuli the ego does not want to accept. Encountering entities, seeing things that other people can't or hearing things or simply knowing or feeling can be extremely confusing and scary when everyone tells you it's not real and all in your head. Many people are now coming to accept that there is alot out there and we don't understand much of it and it can't all be explained away by logic and reason.
If that's true how would one treat it?
Accepting the bodies and energy system one would get energy healing. See light healers, shamans, reiki practitioners or others who understand the energy body and the chakras. Yoga is a great first step to build up energy get it flowing again and give the muscles a nice stretch and massage internal organs. Listening to what your body is telling you. Take notice of everything when you get a symptom what does it coincide with? What synchronicities are there? Meditate allow yourself to feel and express it. Emotions can become blocked and stored as pain or carried as an exhausting heavy burden. See whats there and release it, let go all thoughts, behaviours and anything else that does not serve you. Maybe you are sick because your body is trying to tell you something. Maybe your attracting negative energy or not taking care of yourself. Maybe your trying to live your life outside of your lifes purpose or maybe spirits are feeding off your energy.
After I accepted it wasn't my imagination the fibromyalgia became a learning tool. Pointing me where to go and what to do. My heightened senses a way to reconnect back to the earth to receive healing. Go outside barefoot stand on the grass, soil or sand. Ground yourself accept the gifts of energy the earth has for you. Ask nature or god or the universe whatever you believe in for healing and believe you are better. Listen to what nature is trying to teach you. No matter how exhausted and incapable you feel there is more than enough energy out there just waiting.
Eat natural foods as fuel stop eating so many sugars, caffeine and processed foods. Give your body a chance to detox and clear out the garbage. Clear out the garbage yourself. Hot epsom salt baths, steams, fresh fruit juices, acupressure and massage, dry skin brushing all help. Start taking care of yourself today listen to your body instead of blocking it out with pills and feel better.

Roots
When you think of your roots what does that mean to you? Your family and support system, home, job, where you come from? All these things are important to the balance of your root chakra. The chakras are energy centres that control the flow of energy in your body and when blocked or unbalanced energy won't flow and you will be unhappy, suffer illness and have difficulty with all kinds of aspects of yourself and your life. The root chakra is the lowest so if it is blocked the energy can't flow properly to the others and will cause you alot of fear and misery.
Until very recently I had a very unbalanced root chakra and so much stress in my life because of it. I pushed myself way too hard and developed many coping mechanisms that were unhealthy. Does this sound like you?
Do you go to a job you hate, work with people who seem to try to make your life hell. Maybe you push yourself doing something to earn as much money as you can but then end up spending it to make yourself feel better. Do you enjoy the food you eat and eat well? Live in a comfortable and safe environment? Earn enough money to support yourself and your family? Spend time outside breathing fresh air and connecting with the earth and its energies?
This is a trap many people can't see a way out of and its very dangerous. For years I pushed myself working in retail as well as going to uni to build up a nest egg. A nest egg I spent on ways to relieve my stress by shopping or movies or music, pretty things that temporarily made me forget about what I was doing to myself. It got to a point where I was working so hard trying to prove myself because when I worked hard and did well I felt good about myself because others could see that I was doing well. But I was not actually doing well. I started earning to pay for my supplements and comfortable bedding and any other thing I could find to make me feel better, improve my health without needing to do anything about it or simply keep myself going.
This really ate me up inside and I went through the drone day in day out zombie wakes up zombie goes to work zombie comes home and zombie sleeps. Relateable but not healthy. It really took a very bad job that was destroying my happiness and health pushing me harder than every before and demanding everything I had left for no respect or credit for me to hit rock bottom and say it's not worth the money. When I finally said this place is not for me I had actually done something for me for a change instead of done what's expected and lived with the consequences. Now I don't have a job but I finally have ME and it feels good. Not because I don't have responsibility but because i'm not defining myself on the praise and respect that others give me. I'm no longer putting all of myself into a box labelled work i'm discovering myself and how I feel about things and what I want. I'm not worried about money. I'm not needing to buy something to fill a void or relieve some stress. I finally have my roots. How will you go about finding yours.
